I realized people had so many questions about death, so I started addressing the unknowingness about death. So in last 13 years I have done nothing but talk about dying and soul work. However the end result for me was I had to die to get better at Living.

Cherylee Black - Beyond Anecdotes: Quantifying the after-effects of NDEs

Sharing a personal NDE account with someone going through the process of dying can open up a difficult topic of discussion in a way that promotes healing and hope. Unfortunately, not all of those facing such challenges are able to get past the notion of unusual experiences as anything more than wishful thinking or hallucinations. NDErs can contribute to the evidence supporting a non-local model of the nature of consciousness by using basic scientific methodologies to document the after-effects of NDEs. Clear demonstrations of consciousness as a non-local phenomenon would help to address the prejudice many people have in regards to accepting NDEs as "real" and allow them to be more open to information that could help them in situations of grief and personal loss.
