The discussions ranged far and wide, including a detailed description of the Human Consciousness Project, known as the AWARE study that was announced at a UN symposium in September, 2008 (The 2008 Mind-Body Symposium). This is the largest prospective study of NDEs and out-of-body experiences ever undertaken and involves 25 medical centers worldwide. In addition, Melvin Morse offers a delightful description of children's NDEs and how they differ from adults'.
