On August 31, 2007, Time magazine posted on their website an in-depth article on NDEs that was also published in their print edition. You can read this article by clicking here.

The Time article does a good job of offering a balanced presentation of the varying opinions of NDE researchers, including those who believe that only a physiological basis can explain NDEs and those who believe that traditional scientific models do not offer adequate explanations. That is, the presentation is balanced until the last paragraph.

Two Breaking News Stories about NDEs and Out-of-Body Experiences
The first is an excellent radio interview show, originally broadcast on August 24, 2007 with NDE researcher Dr. Sam Parnia about the research into out-of-body experiences and NDEs. The second is IANDS' perspective and links to coverage of two papers published in the journal Science about how two research teams created an illusion of an out-of-body experience in laboratory settings.

DVDs from the 2006 IANDS conference now available
The 2006 IANDS conference was a first-of-its-kind event in the history of near-death studies.
