We’re delighted to have international speaker Sharon Lund join us for two special nights this month. With spiritual help and a near-death experience, Sharon has survived a lifetime of adversity with the strong belief that every challenge must be seen as a blessing.p>
As a child, she was raped by her grandfather for nine years. But she says an angel took her out of her body to protect her, told her we are all connected, and taught her how to communicate with various dimensions./p>
In 1984, while in a bad marriage, Sharon had a spiritual experience as she was attempting suicide. She became one with the Light but was told she must return to earthly life with the purpose, “to become a healer, teach around the world and write books.”
In 1986, Sharon became active in the cancer and AIDS communities. She assisted people and stayed at their bedside as they made their transition./p>
Then came the ironic shocker: she saw her silhouetted ex-husband announce on a Dan Rather AIDS TV Special that he was infected. But Sharon knew it was him, got tested - and her tests came back positive./p>
In 1997, due to AIDS complications and down to 87 pounds, she had a near-death experience. She left her body, immediately felt healed, saw a review of her life, went through a tunnel and was united with the “brilliant, loving White Light of God.” This time she was given a choice to leave or stay./p>
She returned to help her daughter, but it was she who miraculously recovered. And she fulfilled the life purpose she was given./p>
Sharon is the author of Sacred Living, Sacred Dying: A Guide to Embracing Life and Death, as well as The Integrated Being: Techniques to Heal Your Mind-Body-Spirit.
Sharon’s life and death experiences have taken her throughout the world. She has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, 48 Hours, Eye on America and CNN. She was featured in the November2007 issue of Oprah Winfrey’s “O” magazine.
She stars in and is also the producer of the new award-winning film ”Dying to Live.” In this inspiring documentary, some 18 NDErs share their new perspectives on life – and death – and provide viewers with a deeper understanding of this most natural experience. Sharon will introduce the film on Tuesday night.
Sharon’s books and the DVD “Dying to Live” will be available for purchase each night. Come join us to hear and greet Sharon, and join in the discussions each night!
East Bay IANDS monthly meetings are open to near-death experiencers and non-experiencers alike. A $7-$10 donation is requested each evening to help pay for rent and expenses; no one turned away.
