Above the Bleachers

Friday, July 13, 2007 was the luckiest day of my life. I was attending our county fair where my children show cattle for competition. I was in a show barn arena sitting about three rows up on metal bleachers. The bleachers were four rows high. I remember the lady sitting next to me yelling for help and people pulling me from in between the bleachers. I also recall people shutting the doors to the barn to send others away. I believe I had died three times during this time.

I left my body to watch from the top bleacher, which was way higher than the four rows. I saw my body being worked on and remember thinking that I had no pain and questioning why I couldn't feel any pain. I knew I wasn't in my body, but it didn't feel like I was without a body. (I know we still live after death.) I continued to watch, for how long I don't know. It seems like there is no time when you don't have a body. My husband said the rescue was about twenty minutes. When they put me on the stretcher to go into the ambulance, I re-entered my body. The female EMT’s (emergency medical technician) face was the first thing I saw next to mine. She was like an angel reassuring me.

Through this whole event and after, I had no pain. It was like God had removed me from the pain and then sent me back when everything was okay. I had no bruising from all the CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) work done on me. I walked away a week later with no answers from the doctors; when I got to the hospital, they actually didn't believe anything had happened until having read the AED chip. If it wasn't for all the bystanders and EMTs, I wouldn't be here today. Friday the 13th is the luckiest day of my life!

Wheel of Life

I thought to myself, I would not get a heart transplant. He kept saying the same thing over and over " do not get a heart transplant". Well finally I said open and out loud no one was in the room with me, so I declare no heart transplant. Well exactly a week later I am in the ER and they are talking heart transplant.

My Awakening With The Angels

In Dec of 2008 I went to my doctor for a check up because I had been feeling low energy and my periods had increased to almost three times a month. After running some tests, my doctor was shocked that I could even function, as my blood count was down to a level where most people needed dialysis. I knew my periods had been more frequent and extremely heavy, but I did not think anything of it. In reality, I had been slowly bleeding to death, and without immediate attention, I would require a blood transfusion every few days to survive. I tried to postpone surgery until after my daughter’s graduation from college, but my doctor convinced me I could not wait. She ordered an immediate hysterectomy.
