Spinning in the Tunnel

I had a severe urinary tract infection and was in a lot of pain from it. I went to my family doctor who tested my urine which had a lot of infection and blood in it. The doctor gave me a strong shot of antibiotic (Penicillin) then walked out of the room. The nurse had also left the room. I was sitting up at that time. I felt faint and clammy then passed out. I remember I could not scream for anyone but tried to anyway.

I floated up out of my body toward the ceiling and corner of the room. I saw a tunnel and began spinning in the tunnel. It was white all around me. I then heard the nurse come in to check on me and she saw me passed out. She ran out screaming for the doctor. He came in and ordered her to go get the Adrenaline shots. She came back in and they both sat me up and began shooting me in the arms with those shots. (I was dripping with sweat and I remember I had on a grey cotton shirt that was wet when I left the doctor.)

As I came to, I came out of the corner in the room and tunnel and went back into my body. I remember the doctor telling me that he also lost me and it scared him to death. At the time, I did not understand what occurred to me, but I was frightened and wanted to get out of there quickly. They told me to sit and relax to make sure I was okay.

At the time, I did not know what had happened to me or about NDEs until five years later. I watched a TV show that explained NDEs. Then I began talking about it. Someone mentioned they also had a NDE.

I will never forget it and I know for a fact, without a doubt, that my soul or spirit left my body that day. My belief in God has strenghtened and I knew that he was not ready to take me yet!

The Light Felt Wonderful

I had cataracts removed from both eyes and in the months following the operations the glare from sunshine, from television, even from my computer screen was unbearable.  Eventually I decided to use the pain I was suffering as a symbolic statement indicating that I was unable to deal with The Light, so dropping down into a deep meditative state I began a visualization – a sort of waking dream –

Boundary Between Darkness and Light

The anesthesiologist showed me that the line was in a blood vessel and she would have to retry it.  At that moment, I saw my blood pressure drop to 40/20 and I knew what that meant. I felt myself starting to fall over. At the same time I saw a boundary between darkness and light appear.  I started to rise above the dark boundary and go into the light.  The most interesting thing was that I felt no pain.

My Grandmother's Prayers Saved Me

I had a seizure that caused me to code (no pulse or heartbeat).  The nurses called rapid response code and I was once again taken back to the ICU.  When I got to the room with, machines connected to me, is when I started to drift from the world.
