Happy Freedom

At age 13 years old I had surgery with ether. Saw myself flat on my back speeding through a tunnel. All kinds of colored lights were on the walls inside — beautiful colors and a bright light at the end, brighter than the sun. But it didn’t hurt to look at it. As I got closer and closer and almost to the light, I woke up — about a week later. I just seemed to have passed out in the tunnel.

At 61 years old — 2002 had lithium overdose due to V.A. hospital not properly monitoring lithium level. I had two experiences this time. I am not sure if they are joined or separate events. If they are separate, I don’t know how much time lapsed between them.

1. I saw myself as a two year old baby boy floating around in a beautiful blue sky - so happy and care free. As the sun shined through the blue sky, it created a rainbow of beautiful rainbow colors. I was so happy and so free. I saw a flock of beautiful eagles flying overhead. Laughing and playing, I flapped my arms in a flying motion so I could fly up and touch one. I never touched one.

2. It was a darkness as dark as the center of a piece of coal. And I was the same two year old little boy. I was so free and so happy as I played in that darkness. Like before, it was fantastic to be so happy and care free. I saw a bright star high up in the sky. I started pushing myself up with my feet. The darkness was so thick. I held out my right arm with my index finger extended so I could touch that beautiful star, and like before, everything just seemed to disappear before I could touch anything.

"Burned the candle at both ends"

My NDE happened when I was 18 years old—the summer before my freshman year of college. I was enrolled at a University in Florida and had two summer jobs, lots of friends and dated heavily. I rarely slept and "burned the candle at both ends." As a result, I succumbed to mononucleosis for the second time. (I supposedly had it before when I was 6 or 7 years old. Some doctors believe that it never completely goes away)

Ancestors Care About Us and Our World

Diagnosed terminal and in and out of consciousness for several weeks, I had been told there was no help on too many planes to explain here. Regardless, I was 39 days into a 30 day life expectancy. I weighed not only the opportunity for assistance but the practicality of it as well. I slept for hours during the days and nights. I was sicker than sick. My doctors later explained that was the sickest any human being could ever be. I was at the doorway of death in both mind and body. Most of my memory of those days are limited to say the least. As are any recollections of any dreams. Dreams were just seemingly non-existent for me and honestly still are rare today. But the one memory and the events

Grandma heard me!

I crashed my bicycle when several friends and I were playing follow the leader and we were jumping a manhole cover. I flipped over and landed on my head. I can remember leaving my body and seeing myself on the ground there was no pain but I felt panic because I didn't understand what was going on.
