The following is the July 2009 selection for the Monthly
NDE. These selections are taken from accounts submitted to the IANDS archives
and are posted here anonymously. This month’s account contains the description of a suicide
NDE. Contrary to popular myth, it was a pleasant experience, even though it was
a suicide.
IANDS is cooperating with a television production
company on a possible TV series about near-death experiences and their impact
on people's lives. The producers are a reputable company that has had a previous
successful series. We are inviting experiencers to consider participating.
This month’s account contains two NDEs by one person. One occurred when the subject was dying of colon cancer in the 1970’s, and the other was earlier, during a routine operation when he was 20. He begins his ccount by talking about how he was not able to share his experience with many people, as most were not receptive to NDEs in the past. He also touches on his understanding of why some people survive and return o full life, even after dying of a prolonged bout with cancer.
